All You Need Is Love at East 8 New York Fusion Tapas + Bar this Valentine’s Day

One of our favorite tapas restaurant bars, East 8 will be serving an undeniably mouthwatering Valentine’s Day “All You Need is Love” four-course menu ($188 per couple with a half bottle of wine). Start with the lobster tail that serves its purpose well to whet your appetite—sweet, succulent lobster meat accompanied with avocado and lemon—an upgraded version from one of our our favorite mainstays on the menu ALT of avocado, lemon and tuna tartare. Each component gels together beautifully to wield an incredible appetizing dish.

Our palates were further impressed by the second appetizer of savory macarons with Norwegian salmon and herb cheese sandwiched between two crisp and chewy macaron shells. The mild sweetness and chewy texture of the macaron shell complemented the smoked salmon and herbed cream cheese infused with capers, its pickle-like olive saltiness slicing through the creaminess of the cheese with confidence that only resulted in happier tastebuds.

For the mains, choose between Chilean sea bass or veal osso buco—the former melts in the mouth with buttery smoothness, while the latter exudes the sweetness of mushrooms in its ragu, partnered with truffle mash to seal the deal.

End the meal of a sweet note with their signature dark chocolate peanut butter molten lava cake with a scoop of refreshingly light earl grey ice cream. Baked to perfection, a smooth and creamy middle of peanut butter is ensconced within this rich molten dark chocolate lava cake. Expect silence to ensue upon first bite—the love of chocolate beats all form of communication.
