What to Eat this Weekend: Singapore Takeout (Dec 4-6)

Happening this weekend, Singapore Takeout is a full-fledged dining event featuring creative interpretations of local dishes (priced between $2 to $15) by a line-up of local culinary Chefs such as Han Liguang of Restaurant Labyrinth and Wayne Liew of Keng Eng Kee Seafood, both of whom represented Singapore recently at San Sebastian Gastronomika and will be collaborating for the first time to create their versions of our local national dish, the chili crab.

Guests can look forward to creative dishes like ice teh halia tarik ($10) and kopi & kaya ($10) by MasterChef Asia participants Woo Wai Leong and Lennard Yeong, ‘The Limpeh’ ($8) and The Rebel Wrap ($8) by Damian D’Silva of the now defunct Immigrants Gastrobar, and buah keluak maggi mee goreng with grilled pork cheek by Malcolm Lee of Candlenut.

Look out for the “Ang Moh” economy rice stall ($3 -$10) featuring dishes by Anthony Yeoh of Cocotte, and Tan Huang Ming of Park Bench Deli.

Chef Nixon Low of two-week old Portico Prime will also be showcasing his dessert creation, ‘Masala Tehramisu’ ($8).
